got this image of grass yellows

on a cow dung heap and sat near it watching the same for over an hour near the road that leads to Nanoda in Sattari taluka of North Goa. The area is in the Mhadei Wildlife sanctuary and is home to common species like the grass yellows to those like the Southern Birdwing!

it was an evening trail that helpedd me freeze images of these insects, which i suppose are grasshoppers of various species, but without identification, one just can't say, and i am no entymologist!
however i know that these insects are crucial to the ecosystem, just like the large mammals are or the huge Matti tree is....that these creatures are often ignored, labelled as pests and eliminated and taken for granted is a sad reality and needs to be changed.
